EPISODIC DESCRIPTIONS
The aim of the 8 episode television series "Well Being" is to help you become aware of how stress
affects you, and to help you do something about it through relaxation techniques. Each of the eight programs
focuses on a different area of life to show how relaxation can reduce the pervasive stress that erodes your
health and well being.
Here's a brief summary of each program:

Program 1 Feeling Better, looks at the mechanism of stress and introduces deep relaxation as a
method of dealing with the changes and challenges in life that stimulate the body's stress reaction.

Program 2, Healing Better, shows how the stress reaction is activated in the body and explains how
relaxation can alleviate health problems and symptoms directly related to stress.

Program 3, Working Better, looks at stress on the job, including how to deal with learned
personality traits that may work against your own health, productivity and career effectiveness.

Program 4, Playing Better, shows how relaxation can improve your enjoyment and performance in
recreational sports by exploring how professional athletes cope with stress.

Program 5, Loving Better, focuses on the importance of relaxation for caring and effective
communication in all relationships, and especially between intimate partners and family members.

Program 6, Thinking Better, shows how relaxation can help you break out of a cycle in which thought
can create stress, and stress can interfere with thinking processes such as learning, memory and problem
solving.

Program 7, Praying Better, explores the relationship between relaxation and your ability to access
the profound dimensions of life addressed in religious, spiritual and philosophical teachings.

Program 8, Succeeding Better, sums up the series by looking at the importance of relaxation to all aspects of life in the context of your overall life goals, well being and success according to your own definition.
