Sue Ellen Fast has an appealing, folksy style, a quick laugh, and a down-to-earth turn of phrase which makes the goings-on of the natural world seem as familiar as the urban and suburban habitat we navigate in daily life.

In the twenty years of interpreting nature for people - in person as well as on TV and radio - she has learned a great deal about how to engage people in the fascinating, often hidden, workings of nature.

Sue Ellen and her husband Will Husby have a consulting firm called Canadensis which develops education and interpretative projects for parks and nature-oriented organizations all over North America.

Sue Ellen has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph and has been an active member in many societies such as the Vancouver Natural History Society, Edmonton Natural History Club, Federation of Alberta Naturalists and Interpretation Canada (Alberta Section).
